Hi ,I have a series 5 Apple watch
Where I work I’m not allowed a phone , I need my watch for text and phone capability only while at work. Ideally if I could turn off all functions but those two that would work.
What’s my best option so I can make the battery last ?

Also put on theater mode so that the screen doesn’t light up all the time. That will extend battery life.

Just how long is your shift at work? I leave everything turned on and I end the day at 65% even after a 40 minute running workout with gps and music over Bluetooth.

I am aware I should probably mind my own business, but a cellular Apple Watch IS a phone.
If you are not allowed a phone, you should not be wearing this watch.
Depending on who is your employer, you could risk dismissal or worse.

Nope , Watch is allowed, phone is not.

Listen to this wise person. To do otherwise is to play with fire. Your employer has reasons for banning phones from your workplace. Maybe they're paranoid and the ban is overkill, but you don't get to say that. Maybe FitBits and Garmin GPS watches are allowed, but a cellular-enabled Watch might be another matter. Or should be.

EDIT: I see a later post that cameras are the issue. Are old-timey-style cell phone models allowed? Phones that lack a camera?

At a minimum, ask for permission regarding the specific Watch model you are considering, and get it in writing.

You have completely missed the point here.
