I have brightness on about 60%, push data off, all my apps are quit, and location services turned off. Is there anything else I can do to lower battery consumption? I might just return it, because that is unacceptable if everyone else here only loses 2-3%.
Do you have all App Notifications off? Those would consume some battery because it has to poll for them.
Or is it sitting in a spot (a drawer perhaps) where it would have trouble finding a WiFi signal and maybe it keeps searching for one?
Why is this an issue? I leave mine plugged in when I sleep.
Why is that an issue? If the OP is losing 10% battery life overnight while doing nothing, how about when he's using it during the day? (op already answered that in post #20.)
OP, I'd return it. That I not normal.
I think I'm going to after hearing what the regular battery loss overnight is. Thanks for your help, and everyone else's.
Mine loses 0%.
Reason? I turn it off.
Reason? I'M NOT USING IT BECAUSE I'M SLEEPING.
I look at my percentage at night before I close the smart cover and if it does not need charging, I just close the cover that puts it to sleep. The next day the percentage has not dropped any, not a single percent.
If yours is losing 10%, it is doing something. Are you sure you are closiong all your apps. The social networking apps wopuld be my very first bet!
If not you have a defective unit.
Mine loses 0%.
