Hi everyone,
the other day I plugged my MacBook Air to the power adapter, but it showed no light (either green or orange). In the end I found out that the computer was working, but only if connected to the power adapter. Now it does not even start. The screen shows the battery icon (red) with the lightning inside, so it must recognize the power adapter. I will change the battery, but I really need to start the MacBook to save some important files.
What can I do?
Thank you,
Andrea

I've already tried resetting the SMC. Nothing changed.
I don't have another charger, unfortunately.

If I have my battery changed, I won't lose my data on the MacBook, right?

Nope! The batteries in the 2015s are super easy to change too. I’d you’re confident with a screwdriver, you can easily do it yourself 🙂

Here is the whole kit from MacSales.com to do it. The kit includes the tools and battery is $80.00. They also have a video to show you how to install it.

They also recommended you recalibrate the MacBook Air's Power System:
