Did you just do a normal restore or a DFU mode restore?
Did you restore to a backup you made?

Nope, I did a normal restore through iTunes and re-jailbroke. Maybe I downloaded a buggy evasi0n; I have no idea. I didn't download a fresh copy of that.

So, mine appeared fine till today. 32gig AT&T iPhone 4S running 5.01.

Yesterday I installed:

1) CallBar
2) Music Controls Pro
3) Mail Enhancer

I know this thread is old, but I've confirmed my battery drain is "mchelper" - part of Music Controls Pro. Standby drain is >8% per hour with this enabled but <2% per hour with it disabled in SBSettings. I've tried disabling all addons individually and mchelper is the only one to show this drain.

I've contacted the developer and he responded quickly saying disabling mchelper might cause crashes, but I'm certain.

I (and, no doubt, he) would be interested to hear if anyone else can confirm this.

iPhone 4 32GB
iOS 6.1.2
JB evasi0n 1.4
MusicControls Pro 6

I found this thread because I googled "battery drain" and "Music Controls Pro". Ever since I installed MC Pro I noticed my battery draining really fast and I wanted to see if there were others out there with this issue. I really like this app so instead of uninstalling I will try your suggestions and turn off mchelper through SBSettings and see what happens.

This is kind of a controversial topic, because some people swear that the jailbreak itself has no memory leaks or any battery killing elements, while others swear that it does because all they are is jailbroken, with no tweaks whatsoever (in order to test it), and they get crappy battery life.

With me, it's a bit odd. I have some tweaks on my iPhone 5, and the battery life is fantastic. I have it on about 85% brightness, and it easily lasts me all day with normal use (some web browsing, a lot of texting, some calls, some podcast listening).

My iPad 4, however, dies very quickly. Overnight, unplugged, it usually loses literally no percentage of battery. But once I start using it to read PDF's, annotate on them, and surf the web (no video watching, just reading web pages), it will drain at a rate of about 7% in 30 minutes. Yes, I have the brightness set at about 85% as well, but I thought the iPad 4 was supposed be power efficient!

I believe the latest update to MCPro means the app no longer loads if you try to disable mchelper (a feature the dev introduced in response to suggestions to disable it). The drain is still there, so for the moment MCPro is not usable for me.

Just delete the useless Cydia Tweaks and the battery life will increase.. as said.. the jailbreak itself does not decrease the battery life

Easier if you would list your tweaks.

Ah yes, correct, sorry about that.

They are:

Activator
AirBlue Sharing
AirBlue Stack
Ayecon for iPad (though not running)
BigBoss Icon Set
Cydia Installer
Cydia Translations
Dock (though not running)
Erica Utilities
evasi0n 6.0-6.1.2 Untether
f.lux
FullScreen for iPad
Gridlock 2.0
iFile
iSeries Shows
Mobile Substrate
MultiIconMover
No Status
RushPlayer+
Safari Download Manager 2.1-1
Safari Upload Enabler 1.0-9
Springtomize 2
Substrate Safe Mode
SwipeAway
WinterBoard (I don't have any themes running)

And that's it. No cracked apps, no cracked-app sources.

Ah crap, I hadn't realized that MCPro no longer worked after disabling mchelper.
I use this app every day, I'm torn now.

Actually, I only know from my own expedience it doesn't work. Try it.
Luck for me the main feature I used on MCPro was showing the "now playing in statusbar", which can be done with a new tweak of that name. But I liked the visuals of MCPro, so hope to move back to that as soon as it's fixed.
