hi, i just recently started having this issue where my macbook won’t charge while it plugged into the power supply. i’m not sure if this is related to it or not but i deleted a cleanmymac application and that’s when the issue begun. i have attracted a screenshot of what i see when i have it plugged in. the percentage won’t go over 5% however

what is causing this issue? and how do fix it?

Which Macbook do you have? How old is the battery?
it’s a macbook pro a1708 and the battery is the same battery i got with the laptop. i got it around 2018

actually between me posting the thread and now, the laptop won’t charge at all. there’s no jingle when i plug in the charging cable at all. and the battery has no charge so it won’t turn on

Another Fishrrman "stupidly simple suggestion":

If you plug the MagSafe charger in...
and
If the MPB DOES NOT begin charging (look at the menu bar icon -- do you see a "cable" icon displayed instead of a lightning bolt?)
then
UNPLUG the MagSafe, "flip it over" and RE-connect.

Does this change things?
(it does on mine)
