Did you have a jailbroken iPhone before you updated to 3.0?

    woolymammoth,

I can go one better :)

My 3G is not jail-broken. This is what mine looks like after 3.0.1 update.

(Must confess that it was jail-broken at one time. My "AT&T" change and Battery % change stayed after I had "un-jailbroken" it.)

That's because the iPhone updates don't replace any of those files that stay the same when doing a routine update. In order to get rid of these left behind "tweaks" you have to do a DFU restore.

    Nifty to know.

    -ponders evil things-

Suppose one over-wrote the defaults for which of the (non-shown) applications show on the springboard via jailbreak and then updated, think those apps would stay shown on legit SW?

Thanks. I did know that. I chose to just do a restore when I removed the jailbreak. I wish some of the other tweaks had stayed too but those appear to be the only two. :)
