Battery performance Base M5 v. M4

So according to Apple the batteries are the same. I've been testing a base v. the M4 I've had for almost year. The battery health of the M4 is at 99% with 125 cycles.

Doing largely the exact same tasks/same apps/same wifi/etc.. I seem to be getting much more battery life with the M5. I don't get it. Is anyone else having this experience? And if so, why?
