I am debating with this guy, a tech from apple who said that if you were to use your battery for 3 year (i.e going through charge and discharge cycles) or put them on the shelf for 3 years. In the end, the two batteries would end up aging the same(i.e., they are going to die soon).
Is this statement true? Can anyone validate this statement?

    Thanks

Nope, an unused battery doesn't wear out until you use it.

Geewhiz, maybe the battery can be stuck in the fridge :)

Yeah, the battery is the fridge is def prolong its life.

But this guy was say if you let the batter on the shelf and that should age the same rate as you would use it.

Will see what you guy think
