Battery % Reading. Killing battery life?

I'm just wondering... Wouldn't the battery % reading actually use more battery then the old standard pic? It seems to me that my battery is going faster on the 3GS. I wonder if this could be why... Anybody have any thoughts on this?

It's a non-issue.

It doesn't have any negative effect on battery life, even if it did it would be too minuscule to even notice

Battery % indicator is just a font, shouldn't take any battery at all.
