Why not replace the battery yourself then? I replaced the battery in my 6S way back in November before all this battery nonsense hot the news. It was easy and took me about 30 minutes. I bought my battery at iFixit and i was about $25 or so, I can't remember exactly how much now.

The only hard part is getting those tiny little screws back in. Just take your time and be patient. You'll get them back in. Also, I had to take out the taptic engine so I could grab onto the battery glue strips to pull them out.
 
I'm currently waiting for the battery replacement for my iPhone 6 as well. it's been 4 weeks already and still no clue when it will arrive. the apple premium re-seller in Israel refuses to give any time estimate...
