I know the start of the year was a bit bumpy not having batteries in stock and needing to order them but glad I got more battery use out of my previous one and waited it out

Wanted to get this done before new iPhone foot traffic in the store and then holidays and such,

Whole thing Took an hour they had the part in stock even stayed on 11.3.1 and kept jailbreak on 7plus

$29 is really reasonable too imo. That’s like the same price / cheaper than 3rd party.

Other battery had 576 charges and lower 80% in battery life (Cydia app) and 86% in settings so it was on borrowed time!

It’s sweet having like a Brand new device that’s two years old. Also got the screen replaced last year cause I shattered it right before the X came out

May even replace my X battery before the “deal” is up at the end of the year but so far it’s good at 124/99%

Mine went well too - despite a few bumps in the process. I came back for my phone about an hour later - only to have the guy open a white box with a new phone. Apparently “human error” played into the equation and as a result- my nearly two year old phone had to be sent to its final resting place. They unwrapped the plastic, popped my sim in and sent me on my way. Got home, plugged her in to iTunes, and sent her to recovery mode purgatory for the rest of her short life. After a marathon tech chat (of course I had no land line) where ever step involved restarting my computer and losing my chat connection- I gave up and resolved to visit the Genius Bar the next day. A long drive and several failed attempts to revive the poor iPhone 7 - she was boxed and stickered for the junk drawer and I got my second replacement that I’m glad to say survived both the iOS update and the recovery from backup. All in all - I guess I can’t complain- wasn’t even a refurb so

I'm slightly annoyed about the whole thing because they denied a battery replacement for my 6 due to the water indicator, they said it was unsafe for the tech to open. It's true, it was exposed to water a few years ago, but it worked fine...I think the real reason is that they didn't want the liability on the slight chance something could go wrong due to water damage. I didn't like that they deferred to safety, it didn't seem honest.

My girlfriend had the battery in her 6 replaced successfully, but she had to do little tap dance in front of the apple-person-in-charge to get it done because the battery capacity was tested at greater than 80% on her 4 year old device. The battery got replaced but reluctantly, as a "favor this time". There were a lot of people bringing in their phones and apple employees were being obnoxious.

I replaced batteries on a 6 and two 6s Pluses. I have a 7 Plus that is under a year old so no need to replace it.

I hope there is a trade in for the 6 towards an 8 plus :)
