My Battery health has just hit 80%, I have booked in to the Genius Bar. I'm in the UK, just wondering if they will do it or does it HAVE to drop to 79% before they consider it? Anyone with any experience? (To save me traipsing to the Apple Store).

It has to read below 80% using Apples diagnostic equipment.. The health reading from the watch itself is just an estimate so it's entirely up to Apple whether the watch qualifies for a replacement

It's really easy with the Watches, they will say "service battery" when they go below 80%, once you get that message you're sure to get a replacement at the Apple Store. So I'd just wait for that message before booking it in.

My iPhone X showed that message at 82%.. Been hoping my watch would show it early but been stuck at 81% for months

My wife's Apple Watch S6 took us over 6 months to go from 81% to 79%. What was super odd, is that when she upgraded from watchOS 9 to 10, the battery health percentage jumped up one point from 81 to 82. I never saw such behavior before. Since she had Apple Care+, we didnt even have to go to the Apple Store and instead Apple was able to do advanced replacement (with credit card hold). Besides FedEx loosing the package for several days, all turned out OK.
