battery replacement?

Hi

Have a macbookpro 15. Battery seems to be swollen that the trackpad and mouse didnt work. Couldnt close the compartment for the battery the proper way. I had to remove the batter.

Are such things replaced by apple or do I have to purchase a new battery?
