First full day using mine, i got it yesterday and put it on the charger when i went to bed. Woke up at 6:30, put it on and drove to work, by the time i got to work ( i had touched it) it was at 90%.
I'm not sure if it just decreased that much or never fully charged with 8 hours of time on the charger or what.
Now, at almost 4pm it is at like 28%. With spending the last 2 or more hours on reserve mode.

Interesting Bryan. There has to be something to it or something else? I have my brightness on high, haptic on high, prominent haptic on, hey Siri on, raise wrist on, etc. and no battery issues. I feel so bad for these people that are having a problem.

Yea, me too. I use my Watch like crazy, to include 45-120 mins of exercise each day, and I always end the 16-17 hour day with 35-40% left.

Same problem here. I had my SS42mm since day one. Watch worked fine for more than 4 weeks. I put it at the charger every night with about 30- 40%.

Two days ago, suddenly my battery drain issue started. Losing about 15% per hour. I did not change anything on my watch neither did I install any aditional software.

I unpaired my watch and set it up as a new watch and did not install any third party apps so far. The problem persists, I´m still losing about 15% of battery per hour.

I´ve been at genius bar today. all diagnostic test passed without any errors.
They did not have any replacement watches in store, so I kept my watch.
They told me, if they send it in to repair it takes about 8 weeks to get it back.

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Seems to be quite a few reports of batteries draining fast all of a sudden after far exceeding expectations up until recently. Wonder what the hell is going on?!

Thanks for your sympathy, it's really ruining the experience after over a month of loving the watch and not even thinking about the battery.

Dont know but it sucks!! my watch is almost dead after 10 hours.

It really sucks! I was in total disbelief yesterday when I got an alert saying I only had 10% left. I've had my watch since the Monday after launch and had never seen that alert before. Quite jarring when I was so comfortable with the battery easily lasting all day that I hardly checked it at all anymore.

yep really sucks, but that gives me some hope that its just some software thing that they will fix. Since yours worked fine before. I just got my watch yesterday morning an have had battery problems both days.

I´m doing a full factory restore on my iphone now.
Also resetting the watch again.
Will start over fresh and report back later, hopefully with some good news.

First full day Charged to 100%, came off the charger at 630am and entered reserve mode at 3pm. I did nothing on the watch save occasionally check the time and reviewed roughly 30 incoming texts. If this is normally I will be promptly returning.

happens to me too

Also here to chime in and say mine worked perfect for a month, and then now it won't even make it through my 9-5 work day.

I was totally caught off guard to see it die at 6pm yesterday since I've never had it come close to dying.

Only think that changed is a new iPhone 6plus to replace my 6plus since I broke my old one.

This is so frustrating, I've been giving the watch rave reviews and now this.

So weird that this is happening to quite a few people out of nowhere. I could see if it were a day or two after they pushed out 1.0.1, but it's over a week later.

What could possibly be happening here?

I just received my watch yesterday 5/27. Played with it and charged over night. Took it off charger at 4:30 am and by 2:30 pm it completely ran out I declined 2 called from it and replied to 5 ish text and that's it other than checking the time and did a heart beat check about 3-4 times. I have no apps installed but what came with it. Very disappointed

Just finished restoring my iPhone 6+, setting it up as a new iphone and paired my watch as a new watch.

Lost again about 10% in the last 30 minutes, without even touching the watch.
Very frustrating, it has been a lot of work for nothing...

Sorry. This really sucks. I guess now your going to have to get it swapped out :(

Same issue here, had watch since launch day and it lasted about 20 hours a day. Since yesterday it hasn't lasted more than 8 hours in one day. Did a restore of both phone and watch. Battery still draining fast.

Battery drain seems better now

42 SGS. Its only been a short time but my watches battery seems better. usage 35 min, standby 2:05 min. battery 95%. This seems normal and accurate. Before my usage and standby were about equal at 2 hours and my battery was somewhere in the 75% range.

This is what I did. I let my watch die down to zero and enter power saving mode. then placed it on the charger and while it was charging, once it had enough juice, I reset it and wiped it clean to factory settings from the watch). And I let it charge back to 100%. While the watch was charging, I plugged my iphone6 64mb into my mac/itunes, and manually backed everything up to my computer and to icloud. (i cant remember the last time i did this, so thought i would give it a try) once that was done and my iphone was charged at 100%. I turned my iphone off then back on. then unpaired my watch.
Finally I set my watch up as a new watch.

Also the only thing i did was turn off Hey siri on watch. And I havent really messed with any watch faces or added any apps yet. I want to see what happens on factory setting for a while before I customize things.

hope this helps. if not I may be back on here looking for answers:)

I had the ss42 for nearly a month now. First two weeks were perfect. All of a sudden I got my sb stainless and I wore that for a few days didn't like the link and returned it.

Powered on my Milanese loop for the past two days and I drain at approx 15 % per hour as well as on my iPhone 6+. Totally unusual. With little to no activity at all.

By the way did a full restore on the watch and paired and unpaired set up as a new watch.

Lastly I just found the little plastic I missed to pull off on the charger but ironically it worked fine for the first two weeks.

I seem to be having better battery life after unpairing and restoring from backup. The funny thing is that I didn't have an issue with battery life for the first month, did an unpair/restore to fix notifications all of a sudden going to my iPhone first, watch second (which it did fix) and then started having battery issues, hitting 10% by 4pm yesterday. It was the first time I had even seen the low battery alert, let alone end up in power reserve mode!

Oddly it seems fixed for me. It died before I left work (10 hours off charger today), so I charged it to 90% before I left for the gym. Is it possible that an built in app ( I don't have third party because they all seem to suck) had some API call that was keeping the watch on all the time?

I ask because this morning, my Usage and Stand by time were minutes off even though I wasn't using the watch. Now they are normal and what I would expect and the watch seems to be draining at a regular rate.

I'll see tomorrow for sure, hoping the issue is fixed.

It appears my battery has stabilized all of a sudden this evening, only losing about 5% in the last hour. Not sure what triggered it, but we'll see if it stays like this. I did force quit the Watch app on the phone earlier, maybe that has something to do with it.
