I'm still unsure as to how accurate this is. For me at least, I have 2 bars of LTE throughout the day, which iOS considers to be "low" and I'm sure most people do as well. Still, my battery life is generally great on my 6+. YMMV.

I agree. I never have more than 2 dots of signal and get almost 11 hours of heavy usage with my 6+. I'm sure a lower signal impacts on battery life, but not to the massive levels that some claim here.

I let go of the jailbreak but still suffer from poor signal on campus lol. I constantly have 1-2 bars no matter where I am on campus and my battery suffers because of it

The poor signal doesn't seem to have much effect on the 6+. As you can see in my screenshot a percentage of my battery life usage came from "No Cell Service" and that's from when I'm on campus underground in some of the buildings. Yet the battery still seemingly lasts all day long.

Now back with the 5S it was a totally different story.

I'm waiting for the day when Apple gives people more control over the cellular network. "If I have 1 or 2 bars, don't even try searching for a stronger signal."

I still average 2 bars of LTE throughout the day and get good numbers. I think T-Mobile's carrier profile is tuned differently than some of the others.
Yea same. I still get around 8 hours of use and 12 hours of standby with low signal.

Yea with my 4S, low signal would kill my battery in 3-4 hours

I routinely get 8 - 10 hours of mixed usage with my iPhone 6. Three days is the most I have gotten in standby.

Right now, I have 8hrs 40 mins usage with 30% battery left and 1 day 1 hour standby. I have been very pleased with my battery thus far.

I have had my iPhone 6 since Jan. 9 and only have 19 load cycles.

The last time I charged was yesterday around 12 pm and I just plugged it in not too long ago.. I'd say it's not too shabby at all. I've been very impressed.

Can you guys tell me if this performance is normal or unusually poor?
I've followed many suggestions to save battery (iPhone 6).

33%
Usage: 3 hours 37 minutes
Standby: 4 days 15 hours

My iPhone is loosing 4% overnight.

Ok I had an extremely busy day at work today and my iPhone isn't my work phone. But standby time is pretty impressive.
I was on my office WiFi all day and used the phone very little. Came home and it still had 96%.

What is wrong with my iPhone 6? Something is not right, I swear. Just browsing Safari/social media and playing clash of clans just a bit here and there, not really for more than 10 minutes at a time. on LTE (great signal, 4-5 bars at all times) at about 75% brightness.

Phone has been very warm the whole time, enough to be uncomfortable and make my hands sweat. Had to give it a break and in just a little bit of usage it was already warm again. Just avoiding to hold onto the back so it's comfortable, at the moment.

If a few restarts here and there don't clean things up, I'd restore.

The fact your iPhone is warm, added to the poor battery life, speaks about a stuck app on background or defective hardware.

What kind of defective hardware in an iPhone would be associated with warmth and poor battery life? Is it just a bad battery or something different? Just curious. I have a widget in my Notification Center which tracks CPU usage and most of the time when I look at it, it's hovering from 5-10%. Sometimes I catch it stuck at at least 30-40% jumping to 90-100% and back down. Other times as I drag down the Notification Center I see it at 100% and it gradually goes back down to 5-10%, then rises to about 30% and doesn't go back down. Sort of weird. This is the app I have for the widget.

I'm thinking about a bad battery, or something related to the electrical source of the iPhone.
But it could easily be software related. Did you try a restore as new, without any software installed, just to see if battery life and temperatures are normal?

Super stoked right now. Even though I had to turn the brightness down all the way, turn Bluetooth off, and turn cellular off (I have wifi at home anyway) 8.5 hours of usage and a day and a half of standby is still great, a solid 3 hours more than usual. An hour of the usage was music though, and I usually don't listen to music much if any at all.

Hey guys, do you think this is normal for the iphone 6? Not the plus.
I think that my battery is not as good as the others that I've seen here..

Thanks

Don't give much attention for others battery life because there is big difference between usage with screen time on and usage without screen. Apple should improve their usage timer and include how long screen was turned on.

They should also drop the '24 hours' thing and make it purely the stats per charge cycle. The stats aren't all that helpful.

Battery Usage/Life Screenshots iPhone 6

Yesterday my use was doing very well until I started using the myvegas blackjack and slots games. They hog data and the minute I started using the game for 5 minutes the battery started tanking fast and even after closing the app, it kept tanking at a faster rate. I ended up deleting the apps from the phone after finding jetsam events and other errors triggered by those apps. Wonder if that is what's causing the drain.

Exactly. On my iPhone 4, 5 and now 6 I've gotten about the same onscreen time depending on what I'm doing 5-8 hours. Usually 6.5 on average on all phones and it didn't matter if I uprgraded the iOS or not. My usage consists of safari browsing some facebook and tweetbot mainly. I would say I'm a heavy user and I load pages pretty frequently. This is all on wifi with a medium lte signal in the background with brightness usually around 30%. If I'm on only lte the number can drop significantly. If you are experiencing drain and your phone warms up you have a stuck process. Download AppSwitch and look at your cpu usage. I do this quite a bit a day to check and make sure something weird isn't going on. Been doing this since my 4! Your cpu should hover between 2-8% sometimes bouncing up a little higher for a sec. If it's stuck at say 20 or 55 or higher some process is looping in the background and there is your drain! It has happened to me on iOS 4-8! Sometimes apps glitch and if you have to reboot/reset. These people getting this 8,9,10 hours in the i6 are not using the screen for a fair chunk of that time. It's just not possible! Sometimes when you put your phone to sleep the usage meter will keep climbing too and the number gets skewed because an app isn't sleeping properly. The plus owners probably get 8-10 on screen time depending what you are doing and that's awesome and simply because of the bigger battery!
