Overnight i had my phone on stand by, WIFI off, bluetooth off and now it is saying usage 12 hours and battery drained from 85% to 15%. I am using Iphone 7 plus on IOS 11. I don't understand what is going on

How do you put your phone on stand by? Something must've been running in the background...what does the battery usage page say?

zero out cellular data and see if anything is running in the background. assume you downloaded iOS 11 on Tuesday? maybe a hard reset before bed??

I've been having a similar issue with my 7 on iOS 11. One thing to try I found online is to turn off location for the App Store app. Some people think there's something screwy with that app and location retrieving. Also, did you really turn off Wifi and bluetooth, or did you turn them off in the control center? In iOS 11, you have to turn them off in the Settings app. They made the toggles in the control center just stop connections for Wifi and bluetooth, but it doesn't turn the radios off unless you do it in Settings.

Cell data is off and No apps are showing unusual usage I have stream to me app set to run in background if I am using the app but I was not and it does not show high usage. I have the phone here now and in stand by but it is still losing battery and showing higher usage as the minutes go by

completely off, Location services are off. I upgraded to IOS 11 Tuesday, yesterday phone was fine

Sounds like you're in the re-indexing period after the upgrade, or some run away process is eating all the battery up. I would hard reboot it by pressing-and-holding the power button and volume down button until the phone shuts off.

I will try that, I just noticed that both usage and stand by are both increasing when I check the battery, how can that be?

These kinds of situations are hard to find a fix for due to so many variables involved.

Aside from the obvious (background refresh, apps that were notorious for battery drain -> facebook), the only thing you can do is either hard reset the phone and restore it, or take it to the apple store and have them diagnose it.

If you do take it to the apple store, don't take no for an answer. You paid for the phone and warranty that comes with it, don't let them give you the run around and settle for a crap phone/experience!

On a side note, I upgraded to iOS11 yesterday afternoon with my 7+, the first 30 minutes were laggy but afterward it's been smooth sailing. I am meticulous with notifications, so only the essential apps like phone, messages and mail all prompt a notification but everything else is silenced. The battery performance for today has been the same as with iOS10, so it only took my phone about 30 minutes to get everything roughed out, hope that anecdote helps!

I rebooted the phone, battery at 10% now, I will see what happens. Only had the phone a week but it has been fine until today

kind of off subject, but ever since ios 11, my batt has been a little worse

i’ve always played pokémon go, and it eats it up, very quickly , but now, i’ve noticed it runs down quicker than before ):

I like all these things we have today but it is constant troubleshooting. My apple TV loses WIFI connection when using Airpods, no idea what that is. Have to disconnect PC bluetooth or my Airpods won't stay connected to phone,ETC...
