Battery used when plugged into electricity

Haven't found anything relevant on this. Basically my 2010 15" MBP just emptied its battery and is almost fully charged now. All this while it was plugged into electricity. Why?

I didn't really understand, but from what I did understand, it looks like your Magsafe adapter does not work anymore.

Did you have either the green or orange light on the magsafe plug on as the battery was draining?

It was green as the battery drained, then orange as it started to recharge from 0%.

Looks like your Magsafe needs to be cleaned. It thinks it has a connection, but actually does not. Try using a cue tip (the things people use to clean their ears)
and cleaning the power port and the adapter tip of dirt or any debris that might be in the way.

It's clean, I'll have to see if this happens again, very very odd...
