Is there any way to get a battery widget, either on the Lock Screen or phone, that shows the iPhone battery when you have an Apple Watch?

The battery widgets only seem to show the iPhone battery when no other device is paired. The battery meter at the top is completely useless when I don’t have my readers on. A small battery with with bright green background and white text… It might as well not even be there.

The battery widget on iOS 16 does show the watch battery status.

I think OP wants to see their iPhone battery, not their Watch battery in the widget. If you tap on the widget to edit it, turn off Automatic and then you can choose which device to show the battery level for.

Yup. I tried this with the battery widget on the Lock Screen. I wasn’t able to turn off automatic. The battery widgets available to home screen are less useful because they display four battery icons and I only want one.

Are you talking about the iOS 16 lock screen widgets (shown in Apple_Robert's screenshot above) or the widgets when you swipe to the right?

I am referring to either the lock screen widget or the widgets you can put on the home screen. Or both.

Add the widget, click on it and disable automatic switching; select the iPhone instead.

I have an Apple Watch as well, but it works fine.

This is how my Lock Screen is set up. Phone, Apple Watch 1, Apple Watch 2 (currently turned off), and automatic (will show AirPods if they are connected)

It just isn’t working for me this way. Could it be because I am on iOS 16.0.2?

I restarted the phone and now it is working fine. Before, tapping the widget wasn’t doing anything. Thanks for the help!
