So with the new ios14 update, I’ve been trying to add in my iPad battery to the battery widgets.

As it stands my battery widget is only showing iPhone and Apple Watch batteries.

I googled and tried to follow the instructions but it didn’t work. So I noticed my iPhone don’t have iPad shown as paired device in my phone, and could that be the issue?

I have never been able to view my ipad battery on my iphone. If that was possible, very interesting would like to do that too.

Doesn’t ’battery % in widget’ only work for items connected via Bluetooth ?
That’s why it shows Apple Watch or Pods ...but not iPad .

Also having issues with the Batteries widget. I can only get the current device to show, all the other slots are empty.

All devices are enabled in iCloud. Not sure what else to do which can affect this widget to display them all (as I have seen in many shared screenshots).

The battery widget will only show your phone and items connected to it such as Apple Watch, Airpods or Bluetooth items that report their battery levels back to the phone. I have some third party bluetooth earbuds that do show when turned on and connected but my Fitbit Charge 2 doesnt.

Dont think it was ever intended to show other devices like iPads on there.

Hmm ok, I saw others posting this explanation, but was sure I had seen devices listed. Better check those screenshots again to confirm, but that would certainly explain why I get nothing.

This is the correct explanation. iPad is not an accessory. iPad is an independent device similar to the iPhone.

That is my exact frustation cuz i could have swore i saw other devices listed too. It shows in the apple demo on widgets too, so i've to go back and double check to make sure i'm not seeing things.

That would make sense, but could have swore i saw ipad battery in the widget, but god knows my mind could be playing tricks on me.

Yeah I just got my very own iPad (not sharing with the wifey anymore) and I was hoping I’d be able to see it on my phone like I do my watch. It’s nice to be able to check the battery level during the small window it’s off my wrist to charge so figured I’d do the same with the iPad.

Sucks to hear this isn’t a thing.
