battery wont charge help!!!!

i have a powerbook g4 but my battery wont charde. I have a new battery and a new charger so i know it is neither of these, i can use the laptop off the mains but battery not charging can anyone help me please?😕😕

Maybe its time to retire your Powerbook G4?
