I realize many people in 2020 don't actually use search engines anymore.

This is antiquated advice but just search for "reset SMC mac" and you'll see the countless articles and tutorials that have been written on this process.

Some -- gasp -- might actually reside in the support section of Apple's corporate website.
 
I just got my baseline MBA a few days ago, must say not impressed with battery...by half the day its at 50%! never really owned a MBA so maybe not used to it?
 
Apple's officially published tech specs for the MacBook Air 2020 claim 11 hours for wireless web.

As far as I can tell, if you are at 50% after half a day on battery, the device is performing as advertised.

It is likely your Mac is still indexing. Give it a few more days.

Sounds about 3x better than my macbook pro lol. If get 3 hours battery life out of that it's been a good day.
