it seems that batteryinfo lite and batterydetective keeps crashing on my ipod touch 5 . Why?

The full version of batterydetective (legally purchased, non-cracked) is also crashing on my iP5 running 6.1.

Don't do it - it's the apps that are incopatible. Hope they'll be fixed.
