Sorry for the “newbie“ question but I felt nostalgic lately, when I found a DVD copy of Battlefield 1942 in my storage.
i want to play it again but I don’t remember which MAXIMUM OS X it supports as well as which Macbook or Mac Pro.
I know for sure that it doesn’t work on my Mac Pro 5.1 but I rather go with a portable Mac because of the lack of space on my desk. So I know Powerbook G4 is compatible but I wonder about the Macbook Pro’s....2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009...I guess the most “recent” is better but I don’t want to put hundreds of $ on a Macbook just to play a game. I wonder if a 2008 Unibody 2.53Ghz is compatible....seen a pretty good deal on local ads.
Thank you very much for any help.

You can always run the game under Windows on a newer machine if you're willing to go that route.

If you do want to play the Mac version though, you'll need to make sure your OS is 10.6 Snow Leopard or lower. 1942 is a PPC app, and PPC apps don't work on 10.7 or newer. Any machine that you can run Snow Leopard or lower on should work fine.

I just want to ask the same question of compatibility but this time on a 2.4Ghz 2010 Mac Mini with Nvidia GeForce 256mb, under OS 10.6.8? is it playable ? Thank you very much
