BBC I Player on 3G

    nope... comes up with a message saying that iPlayer is for wi-fi networks only...i tried it

    yeah it's only through wifi. Probably due to the size of the stream and that BBC want to pipe it down to the phone at best quality

    hmmm was wondering the same thing. Pity its not 3G maybe if the demand is there they will do something for us :)

    Streaming video is also banned under o2's iphone fair use policy as far as I remember.

    It would probably be possible for the BBC to do iPlayer over 3G but it would probably not be so great for O2's already weak 3G network. Perhaps in the next year or two they'll sort something out together but I don't think iPlayer will be coming over 3G without O2's support.
