BBC site connection problems since March

Since March my iPad can't access the BBC site, even via the BBC news app. An error message tells me I'm not even connected to the internet.

I'm accessing from Spain via different wifi routers. Is it just me?

Did you manage to get this sorted, I'm having the same problem and I live in Spain as well!!

I know that iPlayer cannot be used outside the Uk, the website checks which ISP is connecting and only known UK ISP's can connect.
However I thought you could still access the rest of the BBC site, maybe this isn't the case anymore
