Right, so I have been playing more and more games on my Macbook 2008 unibody but having tried and tried to play MW2 MP with it I just can't get the feel right (it feels like a console shooter to me, the guns are like airsoft rifles and the movement is too Halo esque).

I decided BC2 might be a better bet, it's less twitch reflex and much more my thing. According to these videos:

It's possible, but I just wondered if anyone else had been doing this and what results they got? 30 fps is fine for my needs.

The problem is that all of these games now are specifically made for consoles and then a half a**ed PC port is put through. That is why they never feel quite right on the PC anymore...:mad:Really has destroyed the FPS gaming on a computer. I am hoping that the new call of duty will be be better than these previous games that have come out.

I ran BC2 on my 8600m GT with no problems around 30 fps medium settings. It is just like a console shooter as well. No lean and no prone..lol

I miss the days of BF2 where you were not playing a port from the 360 too ;)

If DICE somehow ported BF2 to 360 like Activision did with CoD2 this would be a totally different world...

Wont happen, Consoles make too much money now. PC gamers are just a small portion of the market :-/

I played through BC2 on my Unibody MacBook (2Ghz, 4GB RAM, 9400M version) and it played fine at 1280x800 on low with some settings like textures bumped to medium. I averaged around 30 fps, it looked pretty good even on low and was pretty fun to play. The only thing I will say against it is that trying to do a fast paced MP match on a MacBook was pretty uninspiring... Just like the older BF games, people with Very capable gaming rigs will be running it at low detail as well but at insanely high resolutions so you can't hide in grass and they can see you from miles away. Your lower framerate and draw distance means you won't be able to see them/react as quickly (re: you will be sniped alot)

So, "be aware of that" I guess is all I would say :)

    Good info, thanks.

I played it on the 360 and got sniped to all hell anyway, nothing new ;)
