it appears that apple included patches that disable torrenting in el capitan. So basically there are no torrent clients that function inside of el capitan.

its is downright infuriating in my opinion.

Utorrent works as expected. I can download iOS beta using this torrent client.

uTorrent doesn't work in my El Cap but neither did it work straight away in Yosemite, too. I had to do some workarounds to make uTorrent work in my Yosemite too. Currently I am using Transmission Torrent Client in El Cap and it works fine for torrenting.

transmission works great in el capitan
been downloading after doing a fresh install

somebody owes el capitan an apology

Total nonsense. You are most likely using some third-party apps which are currently incompatible with El Cap, like LittleSnitch.

Little Snitch is compatible with El Capitan (as of version 3.6) - I've certainly not had any problems with it.

Ah, ok, thanks for clarification. Just two weeks ago someone was having issues that could be tracked down to LittleSnitch. I was not aware that the software has been updated in the meantime.

I downgraded to Yosemite after upgrading to El Capitan. It's not that it's a bad release, it's that it's not refined yet and tons of programs arent updated to work perfectly with El Capitan yet. It took me a frustrating 4 hours to successfully install Yosemite again.

As others are saying, Transmission works just fine. People and their conspiracy theories...

It seems that El Capitan has some major issues with lots of small network requests being made by applications (which is what happens in torrent apps). So far looks like a bug in network stack.

Having extreme UI/performance issues with server content indexing software I develop (not related to torrents).
