Hi!

I'm so fed up with iOS7; it crashes, it freezes, it's unresponsive. So, I've decided to turn it all around and start a list so that Apple can see what it is we're putting up with. What we certainly didn't choose with full knowledge of its shortcomings and what we certainly did not buy into when buying an Apple product.
And here it is.... Feel free to add to the list!

Problem: Multitouch screen unresponsive
Situation: unable to swipe left on a BBC news story web page
Then what?: it fixed itself without any obvious reason

Problem: Maps froze completely for several seconds
Situation: whilst choosing Hybrid
Then what?: started working again after a few seconds

Problem: Visual voicemail crashes
Situation: when deleting messages
Then what?: still happening - can only delete one message per crash

Problem: Can't unlock iPad/iPhone
Situation: when display starts to fade
Then what?: press the home button and start again

Problem: Multitouch screen unresponsive
Situation: when typing in sim code on start-up
Then what?: delay happening every time. It will let you eventually...yaaawn.

Problem: iBooks is completely crazy
Situation: several copies of the exact same book ready to retrieve from iCloud
Then what?: still doing it. 13 copies!! It's not good.

Problem: Pages freezes frequently
Situation: on startup of the App, on choosing a doc etc
Then what?: Still happening. It's very slow.

I have absolutely none of those issues on either my iPhone or iPad.

Have you tried a restore?

I too have none of these problems, nor does my wife. My family has 2 iPhones, and 4 iPads and to be honest, I've not seen any of those issues on any of the devices.

Two things.

One - I am another who hasn't experienced any of them issues.
Two - Wait until iOS 7.1, I'm sure that update will fix the majority, if not, all of the issues you are having.

I've only experienced one of these issues, and that's the unlock one, where you have to press the home or lock button again. If I press one then the other, it takes a screenshot.

However, I had this same issue on both iOS 5 and 6. And I think it's related to auto brightness, as I never EVER had it when auto brightness was off.

Only one I have is
Problem: Can't unlock iPad/iPhone
Situation: when display starts to fade
Then what?: press the home button and start again

Another issue I have is Visual Voicemail and if I delete a voicemail, a few minutes later it reappears saying I have a new voicemail.

This is on iPhone 5, haven't tested on iPhone 5s since I just got it, but the voicemail glitch hasn't happened on the 5s yet.

Not even on my very first iOS 7 beta I have had so many issues, never mind on iOS 7.1 beta 5. Not sure what's wrong with your device (which I may have missed but I don't seem to have read what device are you using)

LOL,I don't have one of the issues that you have mentioned....Nice rant though:)

Why did you both quote me as if I was the OP? I simply responded to the OP. As I mentioned in the post that both of you quoted, I have had none of these issues.

Hmm. I use most of the things you do but don't really experience any of those problems? What phone are you using. The 64 bit iPhone and iPads are a little bit buggy which is mostly fixed in 7.1 but nothing like you are experiencing.

I do get a little lag from time to time. I consider that normal, especially when opening apps that were still in the background it takes a moment to load.

how is it normal when it lag? so much for the new A6 and 64bit

I always get a chuckle out of people who get all self-righteous and think that the problems they're having are problems everyone is having.

Sorry you got these issues, dude. Try a restore on your device. I never had any issues with 7.0.4, and the only reason I'm on the betas is because why the hell not.

I experienced more crashes during 3 hours of iOS 7 than during 3 years of Android.

By contrast, classic iOS is the most stable piece of software I have ever seen.

This is not how you report bugs, not even the right format. If you log bugs with Apple you will see, and they may ask you for further information like videos and stackshots. This is futile.

I don't even know what a crash on iOS looks like. I got my 5s last November and it's restarted once. What exactly happens in a crash?

Because let me tell you. Android app force closes were plentiful and extremely annoying.
