Trying to improve UI draw rate performance after upgrading to 10.11 (el capitan). Prior to 10.11 users could use a program called "beam" that would disable v-sync, thus, drastically improving UI performance, especially in games.

Does anyone know how to disable V-Sync in el capitan?

Download Xcode and run the app Quartz Debug. You should be able to turn off v-sync from there. That being said, I've not tried in El Cap yet.

The BeamSync settings are no longer exposed in Quartz Debug. This may be a consequence of the move to Metal.
