At first I did not like these, but the more I use them, the more I really find I am so happy with them. I guess the case heft was clouding my opinion, which I find shocking. I worked in a heavy IBM mainframe shop in early college. I remember that one of the color dot-matrix printers had a head crash and was snagging the ribbon. The IBM suit shows up to fix it, and takes the cover off, and inside the printer are HUGE blocks of lead. So that behemoth printer was literally weighted down by lead bars. I asked the Suit what they were for, and he said, with a grin, 'Customers buy IBM equipment by the pound, and if this printer didn't weigh more than other printers, they wouldn't buy it.' And he laughed. I was shocked that he joked about it, but heard from others about how much IBM's stuff weighed, and wondered how much lead was in their fancy color terminals. I can see it performing a functional purpose, but to just be literally ballast to make customers 'feel' they are getting their moneys worth? So, me slamming the Beats Fit Pro for being 'light', is rather ironic, and I'm personally embarrassed to have done it. *shrug*

Maybe good things DO come in lighter packages...
OMFG someone on the internet updated their perspective after a little time, and posted an update?! There's hope for us yet haha! In all seriousness, I think your post is interesting (that IBM story is hilarious but not altogether surprising to me), and a useful take for people to consider.

I found the wing tips to be uncomfortable but was impressed with the sound quality and ANC compared to my airpods pro. Ultimately, I returned them because the pain was distracting.

The case is trash tier. That's about all that should be said.

These are nice but I personally went with the Technics AZ60 last week. Very satisfied so far.
Good fit as well, went out for a run and the gym yesterday. No problems.

I'm in! I don't care for the branding, but my AirPods 3 have been falling out all of the time. Reviews suggest a better chance of these staying put. I like the fact they have USB C charging and couldn't care less about the lack of wireless charging. They appear to be better than any of the current AirPods (from reviews) and, as a bonus, are less expensive. It's also a benefit to have more than one colour to choose from.

Even the hardest Apple fans shouldn’t agree more.
All right points that you mention.

Must be somewhat popular, they’re showing two weeks out for delivery. I kind of want to try these in comparison to my AirPods.

They are smaller and screw in better. :D:cool: They really do fit better. I haven't worn my AirPos Pros in so long, I'll bet they feel depressed (if they could feel anything). But they never fit as well as the other Apple and Beats options.

I purchased my BFP on first day of release and they're my go to earbuds. Unfortunately my AirPods Pro come in second.

In my opinion the BFP are the best earbuds in Apple's earbuds line up.

I’ve been using Powerbeats Pro for several years but they’ve been waning in battery life and connectivity for a while now. These Fit Pros look interesting but I am hoping the PBP might be updated. As a distance runner, I just don’t think I’d enjoy earbuds without an ear hook.

I got the studio buds a few months ago - I like them but I might have to splash on these. The H1 chip will make a big difference switching between devices. The noise cancelling on the studio buds is not awesome so I hope better on these.

I've had the Powerbeats Pro for 2 years and the batteries are almost dead. After maybe 30 minutes, they report as drained to about 50 % and die. It seems like a common problem from what I've seen on the internet. Considering the price, they're not worth it in my opinion and experience.

Well that'd always be the long-term risk of true-wireless. Always on, continuous battery cycle with zero time-off (unless all batteries completely drained), there's also occasional audio-sync issues, and charging errors where the pins may not be aligned properly due to corrosion and whatnot.

My current wireless is the now discontinued Powerbeats with same H1 chip, an insane 15h of battery by itself and I actually love the neckband for extra security while doing outdoor workouts.

It lacks noise control modes despite the design, but it's the best workout earbuds out there.

In my opinion, the common problem is every device (headphones) that are charging constantly because of the automatic charging case (Airpods and beats). I wish an on/off button on that case in order to have more battery longevity.

You got that right, all true wireless should have a power button. Always-on battery is bad for its longevity, especially for something you don't wear 24/7 like earbuds. All those wasted battery cycles merely for standing by and "listening" for Bluetooth connection while it may be better just completely off when not in use for days or weeks. Over time it would save the battery life and cycle thus also improving its lifespan.

It's the one problem that keeps me off from true-wireless like AirPods.

In Switzerland the sale should start on 28. January, according to the biggest online electronics store here... But their "street price" is still too high hehe

Ordered a pair for the gym/walks. Hopefully they are decent enough, don’t need the best sound quality when working out. Just good enough and ANC is always nice

I got these as soon as they were lauched. Have to say it's a step back from Powerbeats as far as fit is concerned. That little silicon "nub" does 1/10 of a job that the big "around the ear" thing on Powerbeats did. For a lower price Beats Studio will do a better job - choose a slightely too big earpiece and they'll stay in place for even the most demanding excercize.

I don't want a pair of Beats, but those little ear pieces are the magical piece I need for my AirPods to stay in my ear. Tried the different tips, bought foam ones - my ears are freaks!
