I bought some Bluetooth Beats headphones from Amazon and one of the ear pieces has broken. Can I take them into an Apple Store to be replaced or will I have to go through Amazon seller?

Beats is that even an apple product?
I wouldn't go to apple - Apple does only apple products.
Unless you purchased them at Apple w the box and or receipt (you get my picture lol)
The seller
(Amazon) has a warranty depends on what you buy -
Beats alone - j believe- has a long warranty but refurbished beats has a 90 day warranty.
Hope this helps

Save your money, get a pair of Sennheisers, Sonys, or Bose. Better sound quality even in their low end items.

I've seen people take their beats to Apple stores so I guess they service them?

Be cool if AppleCare could be put on them.

Yep it would be-
Apple
Took over beats -so it's very very possible u can fix them there... It can't hurt!
I do not know I didn't know Apple purchased beats lol
I knew they had the app -

Your local apple store will have a genius look at them but they will be sent out to a repair facility to make sure they are real and to be fixed. (if applicable) Bring your receipt from amazon.
I wonder if they will fix it if it isn't an authorized seller...

Yes. I bought the wired ones back in 2014? Before Apple officially bought them ( They were in the process of doing so then) and the right ear cup padding fell off. Went to the Apple store when Apple did buy them and they replaced them in a day. I bought mine at Bestbuy.

Amazon is an authorized seller for Beats products and most Apple products that isn't an iPhone.

i doubt that. unless something has changed in the past 2 years since technicians are trained only fix or replace products made by apple (I worked at the genius bar). and if it was bought from amazon they wont exchange it. you would have to take it or return it to where it was originally bought.

Things have indeed changed in 2 years: Apple bought Beats in late May 2014. Beats is now an Apple-owned company.

Beats are now "made" by Apple, so they can be taken back to the Apple Store just like a MacBook purchased on Amazon.

Refund or replacement is OK within 7 days on Amazon. You can contact the seller to get a new one. Good luck.:) If this doesn't work, then go to the Apple Store.

but do they repair them? or just replace like any other product

Groupon has for example- refurbished beats for 50?$ 90 day warranty.
Apple
Products have 1 year warranty.
Go to apple or call and ask them nobody knows what the extent of your warranty is.
It basically whatever Amazon said-
If it was brand new apple product like any brand new iPhone than you should have a one year Apple care .

Now that I don't know for sure. I haven't ever purchased anything Beats, nor do I plan to.

i'm sure they just replace them if its covered under the warranty. since anything actually repaired at the genius bar is only stuff apple/mac branded. and since beats is only owned by apple, they wont repair them.

That's my assumption as well; I just don't know from firsthand experience.
