Beats Pro connecting when it is nowhere near me.

My beats pro started automatically connecting this morning. Whenever my iPhone or iPad (17 latest beta) are within range my iPhone and the beats connect. I might be talking on the phone and the beats are in another room. Suddenly I can't hear anything over my phone because the audio has switched from my phone to the beats. Of course, I don't want this to happen. Is there a setting I might have changed by mistake?

If this is the Powerbeats Pro model it has an engineering defect (I have these as well) where the earpieces will lose connection within the charging case and then it/they will turn on and connect.

I have to lick the power connectors on the earpieces to keep the connection to the case active. if you get it right they should stay off and charging..
