Apple's rumored Beats Studio Buds+ have already arrived to at least one Best Buy location, according to a photo shared by tech enthusiast and former leaker Ben Geskin. The box confirms the earbuds will have a transparent design option like the Nothing Ear (2) earbuds, and longer 36-hour battery life with the included USB-C charging case.

Beats has yet to officially announce the Studio Buds+, but the earbuds briefly appeared on Amazon last month with a May 18 release date and a $169.95 price. That listing revealed the earbuds will also feature 3x larger microphones and up to 1.6× as much active noise cancellation as the original Studio Buds that launched in 2021.

Beats Studio Buds+ are a sportier alternative to the AirPods Pro, and have a more compact design without "stems" that drop below the ears. The earbuds will also be available in Black and Ivory color options, according to the removed Amazon listing.

Studio Buds+ will feature IPX4-rated water resistance and will be available with XS, S, M, and L ear tip size options to fit a wider range of ears, the Amazon listing indicated. The earbuds were first discovered in iOS 16.4 code last month, and they have also surfaced in FCC filings and other regulatory databases around the world.

Apple acquired Beats in 2014 for $3 billion. Rumors suggest new Beats Studio Pro over-ear headphones will also be launching soon.

$170, I guess I can see why Apple aren’t making the wired usb-c earbuds for 20 bucks available.

There's a big crowd around here right now very worried about a number painted on a chip buried deep inside computers... chips that they and anyone else around them will likely never actually see. But oh, how we seem to worry about something having a 3 before something else has a 2... as if the world will melt down should Apple dare roll out anything with an invisible 3 painted on a chip before everything else has invisible 2s on the same chip.
What does this have to do with an aesthetic design choice? The number on the chip is never seen -- it's an identifier. It's the performance gain from that number is what people want, unlike these clear buds, which the clear case does nothing for performance.

I'm not saying clear buds aren't cool looking -- I like clear stuff as much as the next person, but to me, it's lost on earbuds and I can't see them while using them, unlike practically any other item that could be made clear and seen while being used. Also, this is completely lost on people with long hair over their ears.

The point there was that even for something that can't be seen- like a number on a chip- some of "us" seem very concerned about everything becoming a 2 before anything is a 3. And no, that doesn't seem to be about performance as I doubt most of the people commenting own EVERY kind of Mac.

Some of "us" seem preoccupied with the "latest" concept... much more so when it is actually visible (and some of that "some of us" segment seem to make that about showing OTHERS that "we" have latest & greatest" vs. what our own eyes think). I see it in just about all new product threads.

More important than the translucent design, which is cool, is the extra XS tip. My AirPods Pro were useless until the XS tip was released and they fit perfectly now.

I’ve found third party tips better anyway FWIW, there are lots around, personally I typically use the comply foam tips. If you’re perfectly good with Apple’s XS tips ignore me I guess :p, but if you’re still not great totally recommend getting other types from amazon to try

I miss the days when clear shells were everywhere as I absolutely loved the look. Apple loves making sure internal designs look fantastic when 99% of the time you will never see it so why not make clear case as an option. If they did an iPhone 15 Pro in a crystal clear shell or frosted transparent shell I bet they'd sell a quite a lot.

I love the look of these. I don’t need them sand won’t buy them.

They remind me of something for my childhood but I can’t remember what. Im 31 so I’m going to assume that cool looking clear Xbox. That era of tech had some character about it.

Redesign the Powerbeats pro with a transparent design and better charging design so they actually charge in the case for those who want to use them while working out.

These look great. Gonna be hard to remind myself I don't need near earbuds right now.

Buying these for the 90s vibe
I know, right? 90s and early 2000s. This reminds me of my clear-purple Gameboy Advance. Or my GameCube clear/purple controller (clear back, solid purple front). Nintendo and I sure liked clear, purple and clear-purple 20+ years ago.

What’s old is new again.
