Cheers for that, didn't realise Senn had released a mic version. Looks a bit chunky though! Wonder if it's really that big.

No problem!! Not sure how big the actual control module is but there is some info on the cable here.

If looks like the cable does work with the older ie8 model!! I think there is no change to the new ones apart from the cable. I've wanted this functionality since I bought them so I will probably order the cable in the next few weeks!

Does anybody know what is a purpose of these things? They came in the box with Beats earbuds. The answer is really appreciated.

If you have flac or wav files it sounds even better. I'm thinking about upgrading to the nighstalker cable have you tried it yet?

Not upgraded the cable on mine, waiting to see if any company's going to incorporate a mic function into a high(ish) quality cable - do you know of any?

Yeah the 320/256kbps is just an ideal minimum really, I find it a good compromise for quality and space (plus wouldn't flac or wav need to be converted into ALAC to be compatible on an iPhone to retain CD quality?).

It can play wav but not flac.

They attach onto the earbuds and are used as ear hooks/loops for better grip of your ear during more intense uses, such as running.
