I have your same problem, after using the airpods for a bit with negative results I got a pair of jaybird freedoms and they fit amazing! the headphone itself is tiny and once you get the right size comply tips they stay put and feel super soft in your ear. The battery life is not the greatest at only 4 hours on the headphones themselves and an additional 4 hours via a little battery clip.... and the charging method I am not a fan of because you have to attach the little battery clip and charge it that way.... I am willing to deal with these 2 negatives since the fit is so great and the sound quality is awesome... they have an app as well that serves as an equalizer, you can download preset sounds from an online community or mess around with it yourself.

Thanks. I'm also considering the Jaybird Freedoms, though I'd like a bit more battery life. Might be my backup choice if the BeatX doesn't work out. I like the idea of the W1 chip and charging via Lightning instead of the battery clip. Good to have options, though, and it's good to know these worked out for someone with a similar fit problem.

I've got the Powerbeats3. They sound good for what they are. Apple has done a great job with Beats sound quality as of late. If you're an audiophile though you'll probably want to look elsewhere.
If that's the case, why do the PowerBeats 2's sound noticeably better than the 3's? Yeah they have the W1 chip and better battery life, but SQ-wise it's not even close. Took mine back after three days.

may I ask whats special about them? looks like Airpods with a wire attached?

Is it just me or is the wire on these things so long and so big that it might as well be wired headphones:

Unfortunately, EarPods fall out of my right ear in 15 seconds after putting them in. I don't see how AirPods would be different. I'm looking forward to in-ear wireless.
Tough luck, I guess. I do find that the absence of wires makes the AirPods feel lighter and able to better stay in my ears. Though I can't speak for your situation.

It's nice having Apple-compliant ears. ;)
