Why are you not upgrade to 2.2 yet? There's no reason.

1. You can upgrade and keep the 2.1 baseband with Pwnage if you're worried about the unlock.
2. It's more stable and has cool new features.

Unless I misread the dev log the baseband tool that keeps it old is only available on the mac version.
