Does that bother anyone else? Considering how lackluster the recent launch was...I would have expected a change for the small things.

iPhone 6+ displays 4 x 6 icons = 24 app icons
iPad Pro displays 4 x 5 icons = 20 app icons

Four extra icons will make you happy? Really?

Let's turn this around: maybe the phone interface is cluttered.

That was one of my issues with the pro. The resolution on web pages was great! But on the home screen, they just zoomed in what the other iPads had. When I had jail broken my iPad, I kept a 6 x 6 row of icons and thought it was perfect. The pro just made the icons unecessarily bigger, and still has too much blank space. Hopefully they make icon size and icon number per page customizable in the future, maybe iOS 25?

Yup! You can configure more app icons if your iPad/phone has been jailbroken. They've had that since iOS 6. Apple still has not delivered this enhancement and we're on iOS 10.

Doesn't bother me at all, mainly because I almost never launch apps from the App Launcher.
  1. Swipe Down
  2. Type a few characters
  3. Tap the app you want
Or skip step 2 and tap the App if it appears in Siri suggestions.
