Before installing a new Harddrive in my new Mini....

Hello. My new base mini, WD Scorpio harddrive, and Crucial ram should be arriving soon. Just had a question on the best steps to take to install the operating system back onto the new hard drive. Should I clone the original drive before replacing it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am doing a similar thing in a few hours with my new Mini. I will just be doing a fresh install off the grey DVD. On a fresh machine, there will be nothing on the HD that not also on the DVD. Unless you ordered some apps preinstalled from Apple, which I didn't.
