Most people are just jumping into jailbreaking without looking through the other threads...

IF YOU JAILBREAK YOUR IPHONE 4, YOU WILL LOSE THE ABILITY TO USE FACETIME AND MMS UNTIL THERE IS A FIX.

EDIT: Okay, not for EVERYBODY, but many people are reporting it, including myself. Don't believe me? Search "MMS" or "FaceTime" in Twitter.

There has to be a MMS fix in there. Always is. Im sure sinfuliphone has one for both or soon will. They have a ton of cracks going on.

Comex twitter says potential to lose MMS, nothing about Facetime.

Although I think that Musclenerd had quite a few tweets about Facetime errors/problems.

I did jailbreak my 3Gs. It had it's pros & cons like anything else. Now that I finally have an iPhone 4 that functions properly I am leaving it the way it is. The additional features are very nice as is.

Yes, IT is IT.

chmod 755 /var/mobile
chmod 755 /var/mobile/Library
chmod 755 /var/mobile/Library/Preferences

Then reboot and enable facetime in settings app.

I appreciated his post. Making those simple changes beats the crap out of doing a restore.
