Supposedly MMS/Facetime are now fixed for new jailbreaking. Still working on a fix for people that already jailbroke. :)

ssh to your phone (if you installed openssh)
chmod 755 /var/mobile
chmod 755 /var/mobile/Library
chmod 755 /var/mobile/Library/Preferences

Then reboot and enable facetime in settings app.

Tested and worked. :)

Thanks. Haven't jailbroken yet but great info.
Like stated above, restore from backup is all that is needed. Far easier for the average user.

Wow, personally I think that if you don't know how to do the above quote you shouldn't be jailbreaking. This is a very very very simple solution and beats the hell out of a restore. I wish jailbreaking wasn't so easy so we didn't have all these idiots complaining about **** they know nothing about and feel that if something doesn't work someone needs to fix their phone. The average user??? Stick to a stock phone please.

Ready, SHOOT, Aim..

Let the service survive for some minutes before pulling the trigger. Reporting is one thing, all caps in bold letters like Elton John just hosted a girls gone wild party is another.

Agree 100%. I would add if you don't know what those commands do and can't be bothered to google them then stay away. It's that simple.

The problem is nobody wants to read anything and find out if everything is working fine and what CAN happen. No patience at all. How many times has there been an update on something and posters just jump right in and download it and then complain later?

This is no different because either way they dont know how to fix it unless they do a restore.

they fixed it. either restore and use jailbreakme.com again to jailbreak, or change the permissions like planetbeing said.

no big deal, men
