How do you talk to a camera as if you would a person without sounding like a freaking idiot?

Is there a free way to overlay an image on top of my videos? I use iMovie right now but a third party app would be good too.

Opacity Overlay? Umm say I want to put like the mac rumors logo ontop of a video clip is basically my idea (not what I'm gonna do but an example)

Not sure if you can do that with iMovie, I know it can be done with Final Cut Pro, and possibly Final Cut Express.

cfx has a $1.50 (yep, buck and a half) plugin for iMovie called Picture in clip (static). This will do what you want. Go to their effects section, then matting / composing.

Ya check out some imovie plugins. Very cheap and they do some really cool stuff very easily.
