Ahead of the theatrical release of James Bond film "No Time To Die" on October 8 in the United States, a 45-minute retrospective titled "Being James Bond" will be available to watch for free through the Apple TV app, according to Deadline.

The 45-minute video from MGM is said to feature Daniel Craig reflecting on his 15 years playing Bond, with never-before-seen archival footage from his conversations with producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The retrospective will be available for free through the Apple TV app in over 30 regions from September 7 through October 7.

Amazon in May announced it reached an agreement with MGM to acquire the entertainment company for $8.45 billion, following a report last year that claimed MGM had reached out to companies like Apple and Netflix to gauge interest in a potential acquisition. Amazon said it would help preserve MGM's heritage and catalog of films, and provide customers with greater access to MGM's existing works, such as the James Bond franchise.

Random fact - we live up the road from where the Fleming family lived, and had our wedding reception at the ridiculously large village hall paid for by them. You could easily fit the entire population of the village it’s in several times over!

It may not be planned as the last one but that might wind up happening once the audience sees what's planned for future outings.
This might be true, the decisions and direction of Bond25 could kill the franchise.

Although, I doubt it would stay dead.

Hollywood is out of ideas, so they will most likely resurrect the Bond franchise eventually with a reboot.

Considering all the book properties that haven't made a transition to film yet you'd think Hollywood would be mining them for future franchises, instead of resurrecting the desiccated corpses of old TV shows and movies that nobody wants to see. I can think of dozens of properties that would make great films if Hollywood could somehow hoodwink the authors into believing that their properties wouldn't be bastardized like so many others.

I’ve always thought Bond films have the potential to be the greatest pornos ever made. Sadly, commercial considerations mean we will never get to see Bond truly exercise his license to thrill, *******, ******* and ***** across the globe ☹️

Covid was blamed for the release delay in the spring of 2020, but according the the rumors, Covid was only a convenient scapegoat, as the real reason was due to poor test screening results.

The test audience really hated how Bond was being portrayed. There were rumors saying that Bond 25 was originally going to have a plot/narrative that was popular with a lot of the 2016-2020 movies, many of which ended up being financial failures.

MGM, United Artists, etc. were worried about Bond 25 flopping like the others, so a few weeks worth of reshoots were ordered to save the movie, and it would have happened regardless of Covid.

Not sure if all that is true, but it something is happening to Bond 25 with all the reshoots.
It’s called “go woke, go broke”. It definitely needed reshooting and a tonne of edits. Hopefully fixed.

Craig was great in Casino Royale. Of all the Bond movies it was closest to the book.
The next one was *****.
Brosnan could have been good, but he didn’t get to do it until too old, and his scripts (except maybe goldeneye) were absolute rubbish.
I also think Dalton was underrated. I think people didn’t like his character as it was harder edged than a Roger Moore.

Actually, why not make a decent Moonraker actually aligned with the book?

Craig was great in Casino Royale.
One of my favorites.

I also think Dalton was underrated.
I agree.

Dalton was great, probably my favorite non-Connery Bond.

Such as refreshing take on Bond after the almost comedic Moore movies.

I think people didn’t like his character as it was harder edged than a Roger Moore.
Yup, but I personally didn't like Moore as Bond, especially in his later entries.

With Moore, it was almost like he was making a parody of 007. Almost like Austin Powers.

But, some people expected that type of Bond, which is maybe why Dalton wasn't as popular.

I liken it to Adam West's Batman versus Tim Burton's Batman. Both Dalton's Bond and Tim Burton's Batman were labeled as being too dark and gritty, and probably just ahead of its time as there are a lot of dark and gritty movies today.

People know this is just a 2 hour escape from reality don’t they? It is not trying to be an Academy nominated film for its acting. Stunts, music and effects (sometimes), but never for the acting.

One of the best stunt scenes was from Skyfall on motorbikes.

Yep that was fun to watch, for sure! Thanks for the reminder! I might go back and watch that one again, now.

QoS was hit by the writer's strike, sadly. I did like how it picked up immediately after Casino Royale; precisely afterwards, too. That was neat.

Even despite the timeline distortion, I did like how all the Craig era films picked up after each other and kept an overarching story moving forward. I didn't get that feeling from the Brosnan films.

Craig might not be the "World's Best Bond", but I do think he was/is a very good Bond. Based on comments around here, tho, looks like his last film is coming up and it doesn't seem to have a good prognosis. Eek. That'd be awful, if so. However, it's always hard to go out on top. Hopefully it gets fixed and can take its rightful place in the Bond-verse.!

Skyfall sucked out loud! It sucked worse than mosquitoes, vampires, and roomba-type sweepers that went through dog poop. It sucked worse than Scrappy Doo, Batmite, "Seven" in Married With Children, and all the bad acting in all 9 Star Wars flicks. Every version of The Tick ever done was better than this movie!

Even the late, great Sean Connery couldn't de-suckify that stinker of a movie even if he got reincarnated, took a youth serum, and came back to completely refilm the whole damned thing. I want to take out my ire on Daniel Craig for everything from undercooked potatoes to burnt popcorn, and I want to blame Barbara Broccolli for the sorry-assed state of Saturday Night Live while we're at it. If she's still alive, I guess.

A Q who's not an actual quartermaster? How do you mess up 007 THAT badly? I almost swore off 007 for all time because of that waste of time! Even Remington Steele didn't do a half-bad job on his two tours as James Bond, and that dude HATED the character! Fix this!

Okay, I feel better now... 😈

Will enjoy the last James Bond film when it finally comes out. Grew up watching them as a kid so sad to see it end.
It’s not coming to end, it’s hugely profitable. It’s just that Craig is getting too old for the role and needs to be replaced by a new actor; as happened to Connery, Moore, etc.

Daniel Craig, hands down the worst James Bond. So unemotional, stoic, not funny, not expressive of anything. And boring. I can't rewatch any of his films.
Daniel Craig, best Bond ever, he even manages to surpass Connery. The franchise needed a reboot after the increasing silliness of the Bronson period and competition from the more realistic Bourne franchise.
Craig has the stoicism and humour of Connery while showing greater emotional depth than any previous Bond. “Skyfall” regular rated one of the best movies by Bond aficionados.
