You are equating "exclusivity" with "monopoly" --- which is another idiotic notion that forum posters like to talk about.

A monopoly is a persistent situation where there is only one provider or service in a particular market. Doesn’t that sum it up? Only T-Mobile – in Germany – provides the service to operate an iPhone. An iPhone doesn’t work with any of the other dozens of other providers. And two years appears quite persistent to me. And please don't use the phrase 'idiotic', you don't know what you are talking about. The iPhone is just an object.

The iphone is not a unique product in a particular market. There are going to be 10 million copycat iphones from the likes of Nokia and Samsung in the next few months.

There is no laws against exclusive distributions.

What --- you are going to sue Madonna because you can only buy her clothing at H&M.

Why don't you find us a single news report talking about European Commission on Competition or Neelie Kroes talking about iphone and monopoly?

Sure there are my friend. But they are not going to be tied to one operator like the iPhone. I can get a Nokia N95 with Orange, KPN, T-mobile, O2, - put in any provider here -, but the iPhone.... Just one provider in a given country. You can argue till you are blue in the face but the facts are clear. A MONOPOLY!

The facts are very clear.

Find us a single official website that backs your position. You can argue in your own little world that you are right and the rest of the world is wrong --- but it doesn't mean a single thing.

????????? I don't have to prove anything at all. I don't know where you are from but just give me the name of one country where there is more than one operator that has the right to sell an iPhone. Tough, isn't it? On a side note: why do some people feel the need to defend Apple to the hilt? It's just money guys, just plain cash. Relax. Enjoy life, entertain good friends and savour a good malt.

You have to buy a mercedes from an authorized mercedes dealership --- that's an exclusive distribution network, not a monopoly.

You think that I am defending Apple. Google my name with "crippled" and "iphone".

The iphone is the most crippled phone on earth --- its popularity will lead the world into the dark ages.
