Does the Belkin screen protector that Apple uses the machine to put on in an Apple Store actually cover the ENTIRE screen for the iPhone X or does it not fully cover the sides like it did with the iPhone 6/+ & 7/+? I would like to get one on my X, but not if it does not cover the whole screen. I hope they have fixed it for the X! Thanks in advance!

I have Belkin’s screen protector since basically day 1.
It covers the whole actual screen, but not the slim black bezels around the screen, and certainly not the notch . If you are looking for a protector to cover these bezels as well, I think you should look for other options.
In daily life though, having my iPhone X with the leather case, I never ever touch these bezels.
Quality of the protector is brilliant for me.

There are a lot of reviews that the Belkin screen protector breaks easily without any cause.

I have had that Belkin screen protector on my iPhone 7 since launch day with no issues at all. No edge chipping, no cracks, no stress fractures - it's perfect.

I'm sure not every single screen protector has broken, and the majority are fine. But if you look at the reviews:

https://www.apple.com/shop/product/...iglass-ultra-screen-protection-for-iphone-8-7

A lot of similar stories about the screen fracturing within a few days without any drops or any event. Dont see the same with other screen protectors. Shrug.

I have had the Belkin screen protector that Apple uses on my iPhone 7+ and had zero issues as far as random breaking and what not. However, as you know, with the Belkin screen protector on the 7+ you have those slight gaps on the right and left where the screen is not covered at all. It is nothing HUGE, but it is a little annoying.

So is the entire screen that lights up covered, or does it have gaps like on the 7+? Also, I know the TrueDepth Camera is not covered by the Belkin screen protector. Thank you for all your responses, if anyone could post a picture of what the Belkin screen protector looks like on the iPhone X with the screen on, I would really appreciate it!

If you can wait till I get home in about 12 hours, you’ll get that pic.
Unfortunately, I do not have my DSLR with me.

Yeah, that is no problem. I was not planning on going to the Apple Store until Wednesday, not one day earlier. Thank you so much for offering to post the picture! It looks like on Apples website that it covers the full OLED screen, unlike how it did on the 7+. So the picture will help me with my decision. Also, are the ones that are breaking more the cheaper ($20.00) Belkin Anti-Glare protectors, or the more expensive ($40.00) Belkin Ultra Screen Protector? Thanks again, everyone.

Honestly, if you look at the reviews on the Apple website for =any= product you will see horrible reviews/reports. They don't correlate to other public reviews on any product I've ever compared.

So is the entire screen that lights up covered, or does it have gaps like on the 7+?

Yup - entire screen is covered on mine. I’ve had my X for a couple of weeks now, and bought the Belkin screen protector prior to me getting the phone.

As soon as the X was delivered, I put the protector on using the plastic application tray supplied in the kit.

Tip - if you do this yourself do it with the screen turned on! If you apply the protector while the phone is asleep, you have no reference to help with alignment - so like one of the posters above, when you turn the phone on, you might find the protector is a little too high or low, or a little too much to one side. And by that time, it might be too late to reposition it without cracking it.

I’m happy with the Belkin on my phone. Regarding the reviews about broken and cracked glass after just a few days - maybe a bad batch with a manufacturing defect? Who knows...

I didn't know that. As far as I recall, I think that the 7 (not Plus) had 100% coverage of the illuminated screen area.

In any case, I just looked at my X. I compared the area covered by the Belkin screen protector to the area illuminated in Settings (which has a white background) and would say that the illuminated portion of the screen (excluding the "notch," which isn't illuminated in any case) is covered.

There is a small (maybe 2mm?) gap between the edge of the screen protector and the edge of the Apple leather case. The surface of the screen with the screen protector on it is below the edges of the Apple leather case by a very small amount (perhaps 0.5mm).

The tip to have the screen illuminated is a very, very good suggestion.

I’m with Belkin SC+ Invisiglass ULTRA (50 $CAD total price including tax) so I really can’t comment on any other option.

I have used the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Screen Protection both on my 7+ and on my X with no problems. In a couple of the reviews the phone was in a pocket with keys or chapstick. I have always been careful to make sure my iPhone screen (which I keep in a shirt pocket) is always facing inward and isn't in contact with anything else, and isn't subject to any flexing stresses.

I used to keep my phone in my shirt breast pocket. Gave that up, too many leaps out of the pocket onto the floor, driveway or sidewalk... I now keep it in my LH pants pocket and like you I face the screen toward my thigh so that bumps don't impact the display.

I apologize, I re-read your post and saw that you said you had a 7, not a 7+. On the 7+ the Belkin screen protector did not cover the entire illuminated area of the screen. I had it put on by Apple using the machine they use, so I know it was nothing I did, nor was it the machine because plenty of people complained about the left and right side having this tiny gap where the illuminated part of the screen was not covered. So, I apologize I misread your original post.

You mentioned that there is about a 2mm or so gap between the edge of the screen protector and the edge of the case. Only difference is, I have an Apple Silicone case vs. the Apple Leather Case. I do not think that will be problem. Like I said, as long as the full illuminated screen is covered by the screen protector, I will happily hand over my money.

I will be buying this at the Apple Store and have them apply it using the "ScreenCare+ Application System" that Apple uses in their stores to apply the Belkin screen protectors.

Belkin Invisiglass ULTRA (installed by Apple with the Belkin Machine) top notch over the years I've used it on different iphones.
It covers 99% which is great and you can barely see its on your iPhone X

Have had mine on my X for 3 weeks so far and it's still in flawless condition, nothing wrong with it at all.

It will cover 100% of the actual screen but not any further. It's really a nice fit.

Been using the belkin glass screen protector since apple started installing them, and with that said...I will never put another screen protector on an iPhone myself...lol!

Well worth the $42 bucks

There you go my friend.

You may see in the 8th pic, the only "issue" that has been reported by other users as well.
This green line is visible when you tilt your phone a little bit. I suppose it's happening because of the nature of this screen protector (glass) and the light getting deflected on it.
Other than that, it is perfect for me. In combination with Apple's leather case, it is hardly noticeable to me, except from the very bottom when performing the swipe up gesture.
Keep in mind that I did not clean the phone at all for this pics. It is as you see it since iPhone X launch day.

Let me know if you need more pics from different angles.

Thank you so much! The pictures are amazing and now I know for sure that Belkin fixed the issue with the iPhone 7+ and not covering the small illuminated sides of the screen. Come Wednesday or Thursday, I will be stopping by an Apple Store and buying one of these and have them apply it with the machine. Quick question, which Belkin screen protector did you get? There is the cheaper $20.00 one that I believe is just an anti-reflective/slight screen protector, and then there is the $40.00 one that is a true screen protector? Just curious, because that protector looks so clean even though you did not clean it. Once again, thank you so much for the pictures!

I experienced it with iPhone 7 Plus and will not recommend it. The review on Apple website is accurate I am using the Belkin anti glare one which has not had any issues since it was applied when I got my iPhone X. It also did not have any issues in my iPhone 7 Plus. Avoid Belkin glass one.

That is so expensive for a screen protector. I bought a pack of 3 amfilm for like $12.
