It's a bummer that the black unit isn't completely black...

As for an European release, no news in the meantime.

They're also back to the "works with non Magsafe cases as long as they're thin"
So it won't work the Apple leather case?

Despite my reservations about only being able to use nightstand mode in portrait orientation, which I don't prefer, I finally broke down and ordered the damn thing this morning. I'm annoyed that I waited, because now it won't be here until Feb 3-10...if I'd caved when it was first released, I could have probably had it in hand by now.

They just announced a new 2-1.

I'd consider if it was a MagSafe + Watch stand, would probably opt for it (depending on price). That being said, crazy to see they barely shipped the 3-1 and they are announcing ANOTHER one 🙈
What is the deal breaker with the watch?
It seems the Watch sits pretty loose on the charger. You can see that on the videos shared a few posts behind, any bumps rotates the Watch. According to reviews, it's worse on smaller and lighter models (38/40mm aluminum). I see how it can be troublesome, but far from a dealbreaker for me, personally.

Weird. My 44mm Sport Series 6 doesn't do that. The stand came out of the box with film on the watch puck and I did leave that on though.

Then you've likely just found out why it doesn't move, but the film is supposed to be removed

It doesn't need to be. I've left the film on all of the Apple Watch charging pucks I've purchased or that came with each watch. I just cut the tab off that's used to easily pull the film off.

I don't see the issue with the Apple Watch being loose I can''t see it where it should move off to honest certainly given it will likely be a night stand. got to admit bedtime mode is rather annoying now as it lights the watch up far too bright early in the morning
