The thunderbolt 4 hub actually looks like what I want. And at 200 bucks it’s “reasonable” compared what else if out there. Everything else out there has hdmi, sd card readers, usb-a, aka a bunch of stuff I don’t need. I just want a thunder bolt splitter. Does anyone else know who sells just that??
I just want an inexpensive USB hub with several downstream USB-C ports (doesn't have to be Thunderbolt). I naively thought I would be able to get one easily when I got my iMac M1, but quickly learned they basically don't exist -- just lots and lots of hubs that take one USB-C port and turn it into several USB-A ports and sometimes a couple extras like a card reader. So now I'm rocking a hub with three USB-A ports on it and plugging stuff into that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did I read awhile back that charging your device via a wireless pad, etc. is not good for the longevity of the device? TIA for the 411. I still use the old school cable regardless if it's USB-C or lightening; it works well for me.

Is it just me or is the application shown (AE?) on the monitors not running on the MacBook on the desk?

its a really bad mockup...those are two iMacs and you can even tell the screenshot used is cut up odd at the top and side missing the menu bar text and missing the application action buttons for close minimize and expand

When will this one mysteriously stop working? Immediately before they announce the next product refresh?

What is this trend of power bricks directly connected to the wall outlet? This is wasteful in most scenarios, as the power brick will almost always cover the outlet next to it. Extremely annoying. I know Apple does the same, but at least it's easy and cheap to purchase cables you can connect to every Apple power brick. That is rarely the case when it comes to third-party power bricks.

And what exactly is improved with this new 3-in-1 Belkin charger compared to their two older ones? Sure, Qi2 is something new, but as an Apple user, what benefits does it provide? It all sounds the same as MagSafe, just without the need for Apple certification. This will make it cheaper to produce, but if I know anything about Belkin, this new 3-in-1 charger will sell for the same price as their current ones. Design-wise, it looks like a step back from their current flat 3-in-1 charger. And if you prefer stands, their 3-in-1 stand charger seems like a more sensible pick over this, as this one is completely flat.

The screens on all of the photos look like extremely bad photoshop attempts, similar to the comp sci course my high school offered for grade 10 where one of the projects was to photoshop something
Yup. Even the iPhone and Mac have different times, and it’s not just a timezone setting.
