Does anyone know if the Apple in-store Belkin screen protectors for the 14 will be full screen, or will have the cutout for the pill/notch just like the previous ones had.

I’m thinking it might look silly with the cutout for the pill.

From Apple’s screen protector “rules”, they do not want the cameras and sensors to be obscured in anyway, so you’ll probably get a pill cutout or a deep notch cutout

Will they have them in store and apply them release day? I always forget. I see they have it online already.

I think the cutout would look really weird this time as the "island" area expands and shrinks depending on the app.

True.

Also the dust would accumulate on a pill cutout too 🤔 maybe they’ll just do it one clean piece of glass?
Judging by the ones already on their website, it looks like there won't be any cutouts.

Wow! This is a very big step actually.

Apple is super picky about screen protectors (dimensions, what they should cover or not, thinness, strength, etc) that they actually got the OK to do this from Apple and sell it in their stores.

Seems like Apple wants the Dynamic Island to be immersive and not to be 'broken up' by a notch cut out since it would break immersion of the animation.

About time!

This is unclear. For the launch of the iPhone 13 series last September, there were major issues with the Belkin in-store screen protector applicators in Apple Store retail locations. Like, they mismanufactured all of them so globally, the screen protectors ”wouldn’t stick” to the screens, as I was told by some Apple Store managers. This happened on launch day, but it also happened for several weeks afterwards. So they had to recall all of them and stopped the program. Then they started the program again. Then stopped. And restarted. It was a mess.

Last year’s fiasco is all chronicled on this forum thread.

Fingers crossed that Apple learned their lesson this year and that there will be (actually functional) in-store applicators on launch day!

I got one for my 14 pro

I got one for my 14 Pro which has a pill-shaped cutout and it is really good! It is a film screen protector from Gadgetshieldz and it can self-heal the scratches that occur on it! Tempered glass will break soon also the ceramic screen is the strongest so a film protector is enough...
