Belkin iPhone mount and non-Apple monitors

I have a Belkin iPhone mount for Mac desktops. I know that people are using this mount for non-Apple monitors. I would like to do that too. I was looking online at some Dell monitors. Any advice on good monitors to use with a Mac mini and this Belkin iPhone mount? Anyone using the mount with a Dell? Thanks in advance.
