Anker's version is cheaper. But based on the reviews, this thing will fall off from the wall due to weight.

Anker

Wow, that is long, eh? I think the fault is also tied to some wall sockets being really loose, and some being tight. I've seen all kinds, so maybe Anker is not considering that in their design.

Enough chargers. Someone make a comfortable cable that doesn’t fail after 2 months.
Aukey, apple, Belkin, anker.
They all fail at the bend, every time.
My Anker Cables are well over 4-5 years with daily use, and had only to replace 1 or 2 of them in the last 10 years. They are also Lifetime warranty, so they are free to replace! (the Poweline II, etc., not the basic one).

That sound you hear in the background is our UK friends laughing at us.

They really do have the best outlet. The world should have adopted it immediately.

The Anker Nano 2 with 2C1A is probably a better solution, I have two with no complaints at all.

I’m probably in the minority, but I do not like two prong US charging bricks. they never seem to stay plugged in. I’ve swapped out all (compatible Apple bricks) with Apple’s extension cord just to get the 3 prong. They just seem to stay plugged in better.

I understand companies wanting to use two prong for travel folding bricks, but if they don’t fold, just go 3 prong.

What I really need is a wall outlet plate with >3 high wattage USB-C ports so I can charge all my devices quickly without worrying about these super heavy bricks falling out of the wall every night. It would be an acceptable compromise if the outlet plate needed to protrude from the wall a little bit to hold all the circuitry. Now that USB C is becoming a universal port I would be willing to make modifications to my house wiring to be able to charge modern devices more conveniently.
This is the only i found with 7,5W for Europe outlet

They need a better design. If you own say a MBA and an iPhone, you shouldn't need to check which cable you're plugging in based on power draw. The charger should understand this and dedicate appropriate power to whichever cable needs it. So you just plug in two cables without thinking about it and the charger gives the 45W to the cable connected to the Mac.
I use WattsConnected (Mac App Store) to show how much power these multi port chargers are sending to my Mac. I am not smart enough to remember all the different power output combinations, which cable to plug in first, etc.

I use Caudabe Chargeflex and Anker Powerline cables. Both brands work great and I travel a lot. Slight nod to the Caudabe Chargeflex because of its sturdier construction. I've got 5 or 6 of them.

You can find that without a third-party app in System Information under Power.

Why not just use a power strip? Gravity keeps them plugged in.

I am not sure what you have been doing to your cables. I have never had one fall apart (Apple, Anker or Belkin). Including after 5 years of use.

Are you pulling your cable out of your phone by the cord or by the connector?

GaN chargers have really brought some progress - there are some very good solutions now available

Neither of these manufactures consider people that travel, they should offer snap in heads for other countries. If you tried to use an adapter with this thing, it would fall out right away.

I got one of these for Christmas and it's quite nice. I know some people have scoffed at the price, but it's actually quite reasonable when you consider it has enough power to charge your macbook and fast charge your iPhone, taking up only one wall outlet. This will probably replace the charging adapter that came with my MBP.

Nice - did you get the 65w one? Is it fairly compact? I would like to get a GaN charger that can fast charge my iPad, while using my MagSafe Duo Apple iPhone/Watch charger at fastest speeds possible.

It's the 65w one. It's pretty compact. If you're plugging it into a wall, you can easily plug something else into the second outlet. However, if you're plugging it into a power strip, it will block the outlets next to it, so keep that in mind.
