How about retractable chargers? I really wish someone would make these. Years ago I had an iPod charger that was retractable. It was poorly made but it had a flat USB cable that allowed it to wind around a central core.

Would be really nice to have some kind of elegant retractable charger.

I still have/use this with my old school 30-pin video iPod.

I’d rather just get the OG puck & spend less than $20 on an adjustable stand. Oh wait, I did…

I agree completely. OEM Apple MagSafe Charger (which you can find on sale) + ~$20 stand. I have the one linked below. It's all metal, nicely made.

I don't get the point of Magsafe on a charging pad or angled stand. W/o magsafe you can still "wirelessly" charge on a charging pad, then pick it up and go....one-handed. All these magsafe pads/stands now require two hands to separate the magsafe puck...just like using a lightning cable....to charge your device at a slower speed while charging you ~$40-$60. That's just stupid.

I can see some benefits of Magsafe w/ external battery packs, wallets, car mounts, etc....but not this junk.

To be honest, I’d forgotten my iPhone even has MagSafe. Could have been a good little system of accessories and such but was never really exploited by Apple beyond the initial marketing.

Plenty of 3rd party makers have developed accessories for the magnetic attachment, just not with the higher capacity charging because Apple thinks they deserve a cut for faster wireless charging speeds. The competition blows them out of the water in that regard anyway, with speeds way beyond 15W.

And people wonder why they have a greedy reputation.
